When most people think of a ski mask they think of one of these…..the ones you see your uncle Donny in….

Ski and snowboard Mask

Not all ski masks are created equal. The fit and finish needs to be taken in consideration as the last thing you want is a crappy ski mask that doesn’t keep you warm or gets soggy when you are breathing it.

You also don’t want to look like a bank robber….well maybe sometimes you do.

We have learned that you really don’t have to spend a fortune on a solid ski mask. However, make sure you get a good one…

Normally a ski mask is called a Balaclava but to be honest nobody can really pronounce it or remember it on demand.

When looking for a ski mask there are a couple of things to keep in mind.

First thing would to make sure its warm. If it can’t keep your neck and face warm in a -20 below windchill then you might as well grow a beard.

Another thing is the fit and finish. You want something soft, stretchy and comfortable.

You need it to fit under your helmet….that way you can stay cozy but still be safe.

Also, if its nuking on a pow day you need to make sure that you can wear your goggles with the ski mask.
